Wembley Park’s ‘Alameda’ Completion

Working for developer Quintain and alongside architect Flanagan Lawrence the Alameda project was completed in the Autumn of 2019 and forms an integral part of the dynamic 5000 residential unit development at Wembley Park. Desco are delighted to have provided the MEP design engineering, sustainability, CFSH and vertical transportation services, at the Wembley Park site in London.

As part of the ongoing regeneration at Wembley Park, the project comprises a split 10 and 15-storey block, providing approximately 320,000 sq. ft of prime residential and retail space, with 340 dedicated Build to Rent apartments with 6 retail spaces at ground level facing Wembley Boulevard. The build to rent offering includes residential lounges, shared workspace/meeting rooms and roof level amenity space with outdoor cinema, dining area and communal gardens which add to the increasingly vibrant and dynamic residential and cultural offering at Wembley Park.  The development is the first at Wembley Park to have been designed for rent from the outset and marks a significant change from the “one size fits all” approach often seen with rental homes in urban areas.

The project was carried out collaboratively between the design team using BIM. Desco designed the M&E services using REVIT 3D and Navisworks. MEP services provided include the Energy Strategy, site infrastructure, central plant, basement car park services, smoke ventilation and life safety systems, riser distribution, common area services, and all internal apartment services including lighting, heating, small power, ventilation, TV distribution, telephone provisions and door intercom systems.
