Wembley Park is a major regeneration project adjacent to the world-famous national stadium. Being developed over a 10-year period, which is now mid-point, the scheme includes a designer shopping outlet, a West End standard Hilton Hotel, the SSE Arena and over 5,000 new homes.
Desco have provided the M&E services design for a number of plots at North West Village, including NW07 and NW08, which comprises of two buildings with ‘towers’ of between nine and seventeen storeys which are linked at basement level. We also provided our services on plot W03, which is primarily a residential building, with retail units at ground floor level. The overall W03 building varies in height, with a 10 storey section and a 15 storey section.
The project is being carried out in a collaborative manor between the design team using BIM. We have designed the M&E services for the developments using REVIT 3D and Navisworks. The services include the Energy Strategy, incoming supplies from the Utility Companies, central plant, basement car park services and smoke ventilation, riser distribution, common area services, and internal apartment services including
lighting, heating, small power, ventilation, TV distribution, telephone provisions and door intercom systems.
Our most recent works were on Plot W06, a mixed-use development that will see the construction of a 150,000 sq ft, nine-storey commercial office building and a 150 build-to-rent apartment block of 11 storeys.
The site is adjacent to Plot W03 and will offer 115 units for private rent, and 35 as London Housing Bank units, supported by the Greater London Authority. The office building is designed to British Council of Offices standards and will be fitted out to a Category A finish.
