Desco furthers success on the Winstanley & York Road Regeneration Framework

Further to our success back in August on the Framework for the Winstanley and York Road Regeneration, we have successfully tendered the Block 5 project.

Block 5 Project Win

Further to our success backĀ  in August on the Framework for the Winstanley and York Road Regeneration, we have successfully tendered the Block 5 project. We are pleased to have been successful in the first procurement exercise through the framework and the continuation of work on the project this will provide.

Block 5 of the Winstanley and York Road regeneration comprises three buildings 5A, 5B and 5C, the Blocks will provide 134 affordable homes on behalf of Taylor Wimpey. The Shared Ownership homes will be provided in Block 5A on York Road, with Blocks 5B and 5C providing social rental accommodation for decanted residents from existing buildings within the estate.

In addition, Block 5 will also provide approximately 4,300 Sq. Ft of commercial space. Block 5A is delivered over 14 Storeys, with Block 5B being 6 Storeys and Block 5C being 12 Storeys in height.
