The Atrium, Camberley

Desco were appointed to deliver the M&E design services associated with a new build, mixed use retail and commercial complex in Camberley, Surrey.

The new 28000m2 development, named ‘The Atrium’, comprises of retail and leisure facilities with a 900-space car park, along with a residential area.

Known as the perfect place to shop, eat and relax, The Atrium has a number of activities to keep everyone entertained. The leisure facilities within the centre include a ten-pin bowling alley, a 24-hour gym for adults and a gymnastics gym for children, and a 9-screen state-of-the-art cinema which includes 3D screens.

It is home to a number of different brands of eateries, ranging from cafes including Costa Coffee and Starbucks to restaurants including Nandos, Frankie and Benny’s and Chiquito. There are various shops within the centre, which include H&M, Laura Ashley, Next and Pandora to name but a few.

There are 217 ‘design led’ apartments divided into three areas within the complex, which are named Centro, Aspect and Courtyard. 14 new retail units face directly onto Park Street, opposite the Main Square shopping centre. Park Street has been pedestrianised and landscaped as part of the development.
