Team Desco take on Sunderland 10k 2025
Following on from the Newcastle race, Desco’s team took on Sunderland’s coastal 10k run
Desco took part in the Sunderland 10k run on Sunday, with 8 members of staff taking part in the challenge.
James Alexander, Jessica Selkirk, Jon Parker, Josh Camm, James May, Andrew Kidger, Molly Orchard and Paul Gibson took part in the 10k race after months of training.
The route began on St Mary’s Way before runners cross the Wearmouth Bridge, through the university and along Roker seafront before heading into Roker Park before heading back to the city to St Mary’s Way.
The first Sunderland 10k was held in 2011 with just over 1,500 people taking part. This year 4,000 people took part in races across a range of distances, including a half marathon.
Each participant received a medal for completing the race. Well done to the entire team, a fantastic achievement.
