1999 - 2001

Built on a 100 acre site on the northern side of Royal Victoria Dock in London Docklands, this £200m, 90,000m² development opened to the public in February 2001.  It is a major purpose built public exhibition, conference and events venue.

Desco received a number of appointments on the project on behalf of the developer/operator ExCeL, and the design and build main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine. These included: detailed design of the electrical and IT services for the complex, fit-out design for the Conference Centre, Business Centre and ExCeL’s own offices.

We are still involved in a number of projects on this site on behalf of ExCeL.
