David joined Desco in 2002 with a particular expertise in mechanical building services and sustainable design techniques.

David has a wealth of experience in consulting engineering across a broad range of sectors. He began in the industry serving an apprenticeship and went on to study and graduate with a BEng (Hons) degree in Building Services. He has developed a particular interest in swimming pool design and has worked on more than 20 major swimming pool and health spa projects through the UK. He is an active member of the CIBSE North East committee and is passionate in promoting career opportunities in building services engineering. David has a keen interest in sustainable design and is involved with a number of construction industry working groups and organisations relating to environmental and sustainability issues. David takes responsibility for most of the practice’s work in the leisure sector.
