George, a Chartered Engineer, started in the industry by serving a trade apprenticeship in mechanical engineering before moving into design and consultancy and graduating with a degree. He worked his way through the ranks of a large national engineering consultancy before joining Desco in 2004. In his role as Associate Director at Desco, George led one of the practice’s mechanical services teams on a number of prestigious projects, across a variety of sectors. Promoted to the board of Directors in December 2007, George is responsible for one of the practice’s design groups and the technical delivery of a broad portfolio of projects; taking responsibility for technical delivery, resourcing, programming, conceptual design, value engineering and sustainability issues.
